After a week of cooking, I’m often left with a random
assortment of leftovers. Instead of throwing away all my excess food, I try to
reuse it to make a simple but delicious meal. Enter Pillsbury Crescent rolls.
The best thing about crescent rolls is that
virtually everything tastes better when wrapped inside them, meaning that my half
bag of cheese, jar of nutella, and random assortment of fruit can all be used.
I decided to make both savory and sweet versions. For
savory, I made pizza, cheese, and PB & J. For sweet, I made nutella and
strawberries, nutella and bananas, cinnamon sugar, and apple cinnamon. Making
these is very easy, just add your ingredients and roll.
After rolling, place your crescent rolls on an ungreased
cookie sheet and put them in the oven preheated at 375 degrees.
Leave them in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until they turn
golden brown, and you are left with a delicious treat. Enjoy!
Remember, this recipe is open for interpretation. Almost everything
in your kitchen can be used. Other ideas include:
- Hotdogs
- Ham and cheese
- Bacon and eggs
- Sausage and eggs
- Cookie butter
- Peanut butter and chocolate
- Fresh fruit
And the list goes on. Let me know in the comments what other
variations you’ve tried!
